The programme includes a two week intensive workshop hosted by the University of Johannesburg. It is aimed at helping early career academics and professionals adapt to the changing global academic environment.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the 2026 European Union TESIECS Scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Must be a citizen of an African country
• Must have a valid international passport
• Must be willing to travel outside their current country of residence, study, or employment
• Must be an active and permanent member of academic, administrative, or technical staff
• Applicants to South African partner universities may need qualification evaluation documents
