The U.S. Consulate General Lagos is seeking qualified candidates for the Administrative Assistant (CLO Administrative Assistant) position. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Community Liaison Office (CLO)
  • Work under the supervision of the CLO Coordinator and collaborate with CLO staff
  • Support programming across eight areas: family member employment, crisis management and security, education, communications and outreach, guidance and referral, welcoming, orientation and departures, community liaison, and events planning
  • Develop and maintain key contacts within the community
  • Manage office information that contributes to the welfare and morale of the Mission
  • Draft communications, reports, and maintain organized office files (physical and digital)

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of High School is required; BA/BSc/HND preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or office experience
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Basic understanding of the U.S. federal government and Foreign Service structure
  • Knowledge of general office administration principles and management
  • Strong organizational, research, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and standard office applications

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to draft clear reports and communications
  • Strong organizational skills for both digital and physical office management
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional office environment
