Civil Science is a 100% employee-owned engineering and design firm seeking a Visual/Graphic Designer to lead company-wide visual branding and creative design.

This role is ideal for creative professionals experienced in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry who can turn complex technical concepts into compelling visual stories.

Position Overview

• Title: Visual/Graphic Designer
• Location: Remote (United States)
• Employment Type: Full-time

You will help shape Civil Science’s visual identity and produce creative assets for internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities

As Visual/Graphic Designer, you will:

• Lead visual branding across proposals, marketing materials, digital campaigns, and conference collateral
• Translate engineering content into clear, engaging visuals
• Design graphics and layouts for print and digital platforms (infographics, presentations, flyers, banners, slide decks, and more)
• Develop consistent marketing materials for different project types and teams
• Collaborate with leadership, HR, project managers, and cross-functional teams
• Support digital initiatives including web graphics, animations, and social media assets
• Partner with marketing on strategic communication and brand alignment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional design experience (A/E/C industry preferred)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility and core design fundamentals
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to turn technical concepts into compelling visuals
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent experience) preferred
