Job Summary

The Senior Medical Officer and Clinical Director will combine hands-on clinical oversight with strategic leadership responsibilities. The role involves supervising clinical teams, strengthening governance structures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in patient outcomes, safety, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership and Oversight

• Provide strong clinical leadership and ensure delivery of high quality, patient centered care
• Oversee clinical workflows, documentation, and adherence to approved protocols
• Support consistent application of evidence based practices

Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement

• Lead clinical audits, risk management, and incident reviews
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Establish and monitor clinical performance indicators

Team Supervision and Development

• Supervise and mentor clinical staff
• Support training, coaching, and professional development
• Promote a culture of accountability and excellence

Strategic and Operational Collaboration

• Work closely with management to align clinical objectives with operational performance
• Contribute to service improvement and efficiency initiatives

Compliance and Ethical Practice

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards
• Uphold ethical medical practice across operations

Required Qualifications and Experience

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full registration with relevant medical council and valid practicing license
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
• Proven experience supervising clinical staff and managing clinical operations

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision making skills
• Ability to build systems, enforce standards, and lead calmly under pressure

Salary and Job Details

• Job Type: Full Time

• Salary Range: ₦500,000 to ₦750,000 per month
