Artisan Connect is transforming how Nigerians connect with trusted local artisans, from skilled ankara tailors crafting cultural masterpieces to dependable plumbers keeping homes and markets running smoothly. With the Nigerian artisan sector valued at $2–3 billion yet often plagued by scams and word-of-mouth challenges, we are building a mobile-first platform to make artisan services reliable, transparent, and accessible.

We are now seeking a talented Social Media Manager Nigeria to join our dynamic team and drive pre-launch engagement across social media channels, attracting early users and beta testers.

About the Role

As a Social Media Manager Nigeria, you will be responsible for creating and executing social media strategies that generate buzz on X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook groups, and WhatsApp communities. This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to be a core member of our 3-person team shaping the future of Artisan Connect.

Location: Remote (Nigeria-based, preferably Akwa Ibom)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₦100,000 – ₦150,000/month

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and schedule at least 7 posts per week on X, including teasers, polls, and cultural spotlights such as “Naija Artisan Stories.”
  • Engage actively in Facebook groups and WhatsApp communities, responding to comments, building relationships, and promoting beta sign-ups.
  • Set up and optimize targeted Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns to reach audiences interested in Nigerian culture, small businesses, and home services.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, and sign-ups, providing weekly insights to guide strategy.
  • Collaborate on content calendars to balance educational, cultural, and promotional content with clear calls to action.
  • Continuously test different content approaches (e.g., cultural storytelling vs. problem-solving tips) and optimize campaigns based on data.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of social media management experience, preferably with startups or local Nigerian brands.
  • Strong knowledge of X, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, including ad management via Meta Ads Manager.
  • Proficiency with social media tools such as Canva, Buffer, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent English communication skills and an understanding of Nigerian culture, artisan trades, and online communities.
  • Creative, proactive, and data-driven mindset with the ability to grow communities organically.
  • Reliable internet connection and availability aligned with Nigerian time zones.

What We Offer

  • Flexible remote work with the potential for career growth in a mission-driven startup.
  • The chance to shape a platform that empowers Nigeria’s artisan community.
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to beta sign-ups and engagement metrics.
  • Hands-on experience in building social media presence from the ground up.
