We are seeking a Security Analyst to support our mission by identifying, investigating, and resolving security issues affecting WordPress websites across the globe.

Role Overview

As a Security Analyst at Defiant, you will play a hands-on role in detecting and remediating compromised WordPress websites. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable working independently in a distributed team environment.

You will take ownership of security investigations from start to finish while collaborating with internal teams and supporting customers remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and remediate infected or compromised WordPress websites.
• Investigate security incidents and apply appropriate, effective fixes.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal team members.
• Take full ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with teammates using remote tools such as Slack, GitHub, and related platforms.
• Adapt to handling responsibilities beyond a narrowly defined role when required.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to learn and take on diverse tasks in a fast-moving team.
• Prior experience with WordPress, web security, or malware remediation is an advantage.

Work Schedule

Applicants should be available to work within the following time frames:

• Weekdays: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (ET) — 40 hours/week
• Weekends: Saturday – Sunday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (ET) — 16 hours/week
