Phantom is now hiring a Moderator (Trust & Safety) to support its growing community by ensuring safe, high-quality interactions within its Token Chat feature and strengthening its broader trust and safety operations.

Job Overview

The Moderator will play a critical role in maintaining a secure and positive user environment by reviewing chat activity, identifying scams and malicious behavior, and supporting large-scale domain reviews. This role is ideal for candidates with experience moderating online communities and a strong understanding of online safety, scam prevention, and user behavior.

Experience in crypto or Web3 environments is highly valued, and familiarity with AI-powered moderation tools is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

As a Moderator at Phantom, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and moderating Token Chat conversations to identify spam, scams, malicious behavior, and policy violations
• Taking appropriate enforcement actions to ensure discussions remain safe, relevant, and high-quality
• Configuring and improving automated moderation workflows, including keyword filters, behavior thresholds, and scam detection rules
• Reviewing a high volume of submitted domains to identify phishing websites, malicious dApps, impersonation attempts, and fraud patterns
• Collaborating closely with Trust & Safety, Support, Product, and Engineering teams to identify and respond to emerging threats
• Using third-party tools to detect abusive, risky, or deceptive content across chats and domains

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in moderation, trust and safety, community management, or user-generated content review
• Hands-on experience moderating platforms such as Discord, Telegram, Reddit, gaming communities, or similar online forums
• Familiarity with crypto wallets, NFTs, dApps, or general Web3 concepts
• Experience in customer support roles using ticketing systems such as Zendesk or similar platforms
• Proven experience reviewing websites for phishing indicators, scams, fraud signals, or malicious activity
• Experience using or contributing to automated moderation tools, including keyword rules, filters, or bot detection systems
• Familiarity with AI tools that support content review or moderation workflows
• Experience with real-time messaging platforms (experience with Stream is an added advantage)

Nice to Have

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Prior involvement in trust and safety operations, abuse mitigation, or fraud prevention
• Experience working within crypto-native communities or Web3 support environments
• Exposure to moderation dashboards, reporting systems, or internal tooling for scam detection and analytics
