Role Overview
The Graphic Design Intern will contribute to Wale University’s branding, digital communication, and content development efforts. You will design visual assets for social media, online courses, marketing campaigns, and institutional publications. This internship provides meaningful experience and an opportunity to build a strong professional portfolio while supporting educational impact across the continent.
Key Responsibilities
- Design engaging graphics for social media, banners, flyers, digital ads, and promotional materials
- Create visual assets for online courses, presentations, and instructional content
- Collaborate with content, marketing, and academic teams on campaign designs
- Maintain consistent branding across all university platforms
- Produce infographics, icon sets, templates, and recurring visual materials
- Use AI-powered design tools (Canva Magic Studio, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL·E) to generate creative content
- Edit photos and prepare graphics for publication across various channels
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaigns and creative direction
- Help organize and manage the digital asset library
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools
- Experience with AI graphic tools (an added advantage)
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
- Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a virtual team
- Basic motion graphics or video editing skills (bonus)
