comparis.ch is Switzerland’s leading online comparison platform, trusted by millions of users for over 25 years. As we build a brand-new Android mobile app, we’re looking for a skilled Android Engineer to help create a fast, modern, and intuitive mobile experience at scale.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-impact product used by millions while enjoying the flexibility of remote work and a collaborative engineering culture.
What You’ll Do
- Build a new Android application from the ground up using modern Android technologies
- Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing Android apps
- Collaborate closely with iOS engineers, backend developers, and product teams
- Contribute to API design and mobile app architecture decisions
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Solid understanding of modern Android development standards and patterns
- Experience with Android app publishing, releases, and deployment processes
- Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Strong ownership mindset with attention to performance and app quality
Nice to Have
- Experience migrating Java/XML codebases to Kotlin/Jetpack Compose
- Knowledge of REST APIs and mobile-backend integration
- Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
- Interest in AI tools such as LLMs or AI agents
- Basic experience with iOS (Swift) or cross-platform development
