About the Product Manager Job in Lagos
This Product Manager Job in Lagos is a cross functional leadership role focused on building automation enabled chat and voice experiences. The successful candidate will oversee the strategy, design, and release of conversational products that integrate text based chat automation and voice enabled systems such as IVR and virtual assistants.
The goal is to create seamless, multi channel customer journeys that improve service delivery, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Define and execute the product strategy for automated chat and voice capabilities
- Build and manage a structured roadmap across text, voice, and IVR channels
- Align automation initiatives with business objectives and compliance requirements
Requirements Gathering and Planning
- Collect and prioritize requirements from stakeholders including sales, support, operations, compliance, and customers
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and technical specifications
- Maintain an organized backlog of features and enhancements
Product Development and Delivery
- Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery and prototyping to testing and release
- Collaborate with UX designers to develop intuitive chat and voice interfaces
- Partner with engineering and data teams to improve natural language processing, speech recognition, language understanding, dialogue management, and text to speech capabilities
- Oversee implementation, monitoring, and optimization of conversation flows and cross channel handoffs
Performance Measurement and Optimization
- Define key performance indicators such as adoption rates, user satisfaction, automation coverage, latency, escalation rates, and cost savings
- Analyze performance data and drive continuous product improvements
- Run structured experiments to improve engagement and efficiency
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven product management experience in chatbots, voice assistants, IVR systems, or conversational automation
- Strong understanding of natural language processing, speech recognition, and multi turn conversation design
- Experience designing multi channel user experiences for chat and voice platforms
- Data driven mindset with experience in performance analysis and experimentation
- Technical knowledge that enables collaboration with engineering, data science, and platform teams
- Familiarity with CRM systems, cloud services, and deployment processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with omnichannel orchestration and CRM integration
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for chat and voice data handling
- Ability to develop prototypes, demos, and customer facing presentations of automation solutions
