The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), announces the commencement of recruitment for Fifty Thousand (50,000) Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.

This recruitment follows the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, aimed at enhancing community policing, strengthening internal security, and expanding the manpower capacity of the NPF.

Available Positions

  • Police Constable – General Duty Cadre
  • Police Constable – Specialist Cadre

Qualifications

General Duty Cadre

  • Minimum of five (5) credits in GCE O’Level/SSCE/NECO or equivalent
  • Credits must include English Language and Mathematics
  • Not more than two sittings

Specialist Cadre

  • Minimum of four (4) credits including English and Mathematics
  • Not more than two sittings
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Possession of appropriate Trade Test certifications is required

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens by birth
  • Be 18–25 years old (General Duty)
  • Be 18–28 years old (Specialists)
  • Be physically, medically, and psychologically fit
  • Not be less than 1.67m (male) or 1.64m (female) in height (General Duty only)
  • Meet all additional requirements listed on the recruitment portal
