Applications are now open for the NEBOSH L’Oréal International Bursary 2026, a unique programme designed to support women pursuing careers in health and safety. This bursary offers twenty fully funded places to study the globally respected NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, providing essential skills and knowledge for professionals at any stage of their health and safety career.

The programme is ideal for managers, supervisors, and individuals with health and safety responsibilities, as well as those embarking on a career in this field.

About the NEBOSH International General Certificate

The NEBOSH International General Certificate equips participants with practical knowledge and skills to effectively manage health and safety in any workplace. Key learning outcomes include:

• Understanding how to manage health and safety effectively
• Identifying and controlling common workplace hazards
• Measuring and evaluating health and safety performance
• Applying relevant key international standards

This qualification is widely recognised globally and supports both current roles and long-term career progression in health and safety.

The Bursary

The NEBOSH L’Oréal International Bursary provides twenty fully funded study places for women based outside of the United Kingdom. The bursary includes:

• Paid study for the NEBOSH International General Certificate
• Access to a structured programme of at least 65 taught hours and 40 recommended self-study hours
• Approximately two hours of ad-hoc tutor support
• Live Online study via Zoom, allowing real-time interaction with tutors and fellow bursary recipients

Assessment

The programme concludes with a two-step assessment to test knowledge and practical skills:

1. Open Book Examination (OBE) to assess theoretical understanding
2. Practical Risk Assessment to demonstrate applied competence

• 25 March 2026: Public announcement of bursary winners
• 8 or 9 June 2026: Winners begin their first day of study
