Job Description
Cormart Nigeria Limited is seeking a proactive and skilled Learning and Development Officer to support the organization’s capability-building initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing training needs, developing learning interventions, and improving employee performance across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct frequent training needs assessments using performance reviews, employee feedback, and departmental consultations.
Design, deliver, and evaluate learning programs across technical, functional, and behavioural competencies.
Work closely with department heads and managers to identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans.
Coordinate onboarding and induction programs for new employees.
Develop annual training calendars, budgets, and comprehensive learning activity reports.
Measure training effectiveness using feedback tools, assessments, and performance KPIs.
Maintain strong relationships with external trainers, vendors, and learning partners.
Keep detailed and up-to-date training records, attendance logs, and evaluation reports.
Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
Stay updated on emerging learning technologies and incorporate innovative delivery methods.
Facilitate internal knowledge-sharing sessions and provide in-house training when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Professional HR certifications such as CIPM, PHRi, SPHRi, or SHRM are highly desirable.
4–5 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development or an HR generalist role.
Proven ability to design, deliver, and assess training programs.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with e-learning tools is an added advantage.
