Job Description

A manufacturing company in Awka, Anambra State is recruiting a HR Assistant to support its Human Resources operations, handle documentation, and manage day-to-day clerical and office tasks.
• Location – Awka, Anambra State
• Job Type – Full-time
• Salary – N80,000 – N100,000 per month
• Application Deadline – 30th November, 2025

Job Summary
The HR Assistant will support the HR department in managing employee records, assisting with recruitment, handling office administration, and performing other assigned HR and clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in creating and preparing HR documents such as employee handbooks, policies, and job descriptions
• Support payroll administration and other HR-related tasks
• Handle office and clerical duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence
• Collect and maintain employee data (personal information, job roles, etc.)
• Assist with recruitment activities – posting job vacancies and scheduling interviews
• Support onboarding and orientation of new employees
• Manage general office tasks – ordering supplies, managing mail, and maintaining office equipment
• Perform field/footwork as assigned (delivering documents, running office errands, liaising with other departments)
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum of HND in a related field
• At least 1 year proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Workspace, and other tech tools
• High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks as needed
