Job Description
Dev-Afrique Development Advisors is an African-led, Africa-based social impact organization providing high-level advisory services and innovative strategies across Sub-Saharan Africa. Through partnerships with DevGlobal and DevIndia, Dev-Afrique works with global non-profits and corporations to drive local implementation of development initiatives.
Fellowship Overview:
Dev-Afrique is offering a six-month Corporate Communications Fellowship in Nigeria. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about communications, storytelling, and social impact, contributing to Dev-Afrique’s brand, stakeholder engagement, and strategic initiatives.
Location: Nigeria
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Work Mode: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and create engaging content across multiple channels.
- Support external communications: press releases, media relations, and crisis communication.
- Create and curate content for the website, social media, and other platforms.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating events, conferences, and webinars.
- Provide internal communications support, ensuring consistent messaging.
- Prepare reports on communications activities and assess their impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate communications, PR, or related roles.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of media relations and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with the development sector and social impact initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
This fellowship offers hands-on experience in strategic communications within the social impact sector, enhancing both professional skills and exposure to development-focused initiatives across Africa.
