We are currently seeking a motivated Credit Relationship Officer to manage client relationships, drive loan sales, assess credit applications, and support portfolio performance. This role is ideal for candidates who understand small business financing and enjoy working closely with clients while ensuring compliance with credit policies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Credit Relationship Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Identifying and engaging prospective clients through direct sales and relationship building
• Promoting loan products and financial solutions to eligible businesses
• Achieving monthly loan and Proof of Funds disbursement targets
• Conducting credit assessments and preparing appraisal reports for review
• Performing desk reviews and onsite business due diligence
• Analyzing financial records to determine client creditworthiness
• Capturing KYC and financial details in the credit management system
• Maintaining proper documentation for all credit cases
• Monitoring loan portfolios and identifying early warning signs of default
• Applying loan penalties and initiating recovery actions when necessary
• Supporting collections and business recovery processes according to company policy
• Providing financial guidance to clients based on their business needs
• Drafting credit offer letters outlining loan terms and conditions
• Sharing process improvement ideas with the Credit and Business Development Manager
• Collaborating with internal teams to support market expansion strategies
• Performing other tasks assigned by the line manager

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience in banking, finance, investment, credit management, or direct sales
• Strong understanding of small and medium business financing
• Ability to meet and exceed sales and revenue targets
• Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills
• Strong analytical and financial assessment capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant tools
• NYSC completion certificate

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly salary ranges from N150,000 to N350,000, depending on experience and level
• Additional benefits tailored to employee performance and role level
