About the Role

As part of the Eni Oil and Gas Recruitment, the company is seeking a highly skilled Contracts and Procurement Division Manager to join Nigerian Agip Exploration Ltd in Abuja. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across procurement activities, ensuring value creation, operational excellence, and alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Contracts and Procurement Division Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

• Participate in investment planning and develop procurement and contract negotiation strategies
• Prepare cost estimates and procurement procedures for assigned projects
• Ensure prequalification and registration of strategic suppliers in line with company policies and Nigerian regulations
• Coordinate contractor performance evaluations with internal departments
• Implement and update procurement procedures in line with Eni guidelines
• Support user departments in defining tendering and contracting strategies, including joint venture coordination
• Plan and monitor procurement activities and timelines
• Ensure timely contract approvals in compliance with management, partner, and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize procurement processes
• Develop and maintain procurement reporting and planning systems
• Ensure effective communication and reporting to headquarters
• Support projects by recommending contractual strategies and vendor qualification priorities
• Manage team performance, training, motivation, and professional development in collaboration with HR
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Promote a zero lost time injury workplace
• Ensure HSE requirements are embedded in all procurement and contract documentation
• Support environmental protection and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Candidates applying through the Eni Oil and Gas Recruitment must meet the following criteria:

• Engineering degree preferred or a degree in Economics
• Extensive experience in oil and gas procurement and supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of supplier markets, production processes, and vendor evaluation
• Solid understanding of procurement systems, contract administration, and project management
• Proficiency in e procurement platforms and integrated information systems
• Strong financial and cost analysis skills including budgeting and project profitability evaluation
• Knowledge of civil law, contracting standards, tender procedures, and regulatory frameworks
• Understanding of logistics, material management, and transportation processes
• High ethical standards with a strong commitment to integrity and transparency
• Excellent command of the English language
