Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight and Reporting

• Oversee all accounting and financial activities of the pharmacy and supermarket
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and periodic accounts
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records

Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts
• Support strategic planning through financial analysis
• Monitor business performance against financial targets

Operations Supervision

• Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions
• Oversee payroll administration and inventory accounting
• Ensure effective internal controls across all financial processes

Compliance and Audit

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory obligations
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities

Cash Flow and Advisory

• Monitor cash flow and liquidity levels
• Provide strategic financial advice to management

Requirements for the Chief Accountant Job in Abuja

• ICAN certification is mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum of three years experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant
• Experience in retail or pharmacy operations is an added advantage
