About the Role

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in generating and qualifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with the enterprise sales team to engage prospects, secure meetings, and support the growth of Blockstream’s financial services partnerships.

This position involves proactive outreach, strong follow up, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to move high value opportunities forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients within corporate treasuries, prime brokerages, investment banks, commercial banks, and regional banks
  • Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, and social media to engage prospects and establish new relationships
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule meetings with decision makers
  • Manage follow up conversations and coordinate internal team members to support deal progression
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop sales strategies tailored to the financial services sector
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of leads and interactions in the CRM system
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving institutional needs through events, media, and networking
  • Provide consistent updates to management on lead generation activities and performance outcomes

Business Development Representative Job at Blockstream Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Three to five years or more experience in sales or business development within the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational ability with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Experience maintaining data accuracy within CRM platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience achieving quotas in sales trading or enterprise fintech sales environments
  • Knowledge of Bitcoin, blockchain technology, or digital financial infrastructure
  • Strong networking skills with experience engaging senior decision makers
