Applications are now open for the 2027 Australia Awards Masters-Level Scholarships, prestigious long-term awards administered by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The Australia Awards Scholarships enable scholars to undertake full-time postgraduate study at Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions. Benefits of Australia Awards Scholarships
Recipients of the Australia Awards Scholarships receive a comprehensive support package, which typically includes:
- Full tuition fees for the chosen academic program
- Return air travel: a single return economy airfare to and from Australia via the most direct route
- Establishment allowance: a one-time contribution towards accommodation, textbooks, and study materials
- Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE): a fortnightly stipend for basic living expenses
- Introductory Academic Program (IAP): a compulsory program providing information on living and studying in Australia
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): coverage for basic medical costs (excluding pre-existing conditions)
- Pre-course English (PCE) fees: where necessary, in-country and/or in-Australia English training may be provided
- Supplementary academic support: available to enhance academic success and experience
- Fieldwork support: for research-based or Masters by coursework programs requiring fieldwork, one return economy airfare may be provided within Australia or to the scholar’s home country
