Programme Overview

Selected trainees will gain practical, hands on exposure across key business units within Agusto and Co. The programme allows you to develop a deep understanding of industry research, credit ratings, and advisory services while working with experienced professionals.

You will be expected to contribute to real projects and support the company’s work in providing insights that guide businesses and institutions across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities of Successful Candidates

Work Across Core Business Units

Trainees will rotate across the Research, Ratings, and Consulting teams. This provides an opportunity to understand how each function supports the firm’s role in shaping market intelligence and strategic advisory.

Support Advisory and Credit Rating Assignments

You will collaborate with senior analysts and consultants on ongoing advisory projects and credit rating exercises, gaining valuable industry and technical experience.

Act as an Industry Analyst

Each trainee will be assigned to specific industries where you will take responsibility for:

Preparing and delivering industry research reports within set timelines
Tracking and analysing major developments within assigned sectors
Producing quarterly Agusto Market Intelligence reports
Developing research materials tailored to client needs

Provide Support for Consulting Engagements

You will assist the consulting team with research and project delivery for client specific assignments, contributing to strategic solutions.

Assist With Learning and Development Initiatives

Trainees may also provide support for training sessions, workshops, and internal learning programmes, helping with both logistics and facilitation where required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background

Applicants must be recent graduates with a strong Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or closely related disciplines.

Analytical and Communication Skills

You should have strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with a high level of curiosity and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

Additional Professional Qualifications

Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA, as well as a Master’s degree, will be considered an added advantage.

NYSC Completion

All applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps programme.
