Job Description
Youth and Environment Europe (YEE) is seeking an Advocacy Manager to lead and coordinate its advocacy efforts across Europe. This role strengthens the quality, coherence, and impact of YEE’s work, ensuring actions and positions are values-aligned, evidence-informed, and youth-led.

Position Objective
The Advocacy Manager is a central figure within YEE, collaborating closely with the Advocacy Department, Executive Board, Secretariat, member organisations, and partners. The role focuses on:
- Coordinating advocacy initiatives across projects and thematic priorities
- Supporting member organisations in policy engagement
- Translating youth perspectives into actionable strategies
- Enhancing YEE’s representation in European and international policy spaces
The mandate runs from 1 March 2026 to 31 December 2026, with a two-month provisional period. Onboarding begins in late February 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Advocacy Department and related projects
- Lead EU and international policy engagement
- Manage partnerships and represent YEE in external forums
- Support member organisations in advocacy activities
- Ensure strategic priorities are implemented effectively
Who We Are Looking For
Candidates should:
- Be committed to environmental advocacy, youth empowerment, and social justice
- Have experience in youth advocacy and policy engagement
- Communicate confidently in professional and public settings
- Think strategically and translate priorities into actionable plans
- Be highly organised and able to manage multiple projects
- Work well independently and in teams
- Bring creativity and openness to innovative advocacy methods (e.g., artivism)
- Understand European and international policy processes relevant to youth and environment
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and inclusivity
- Critically analyse policy developments and recommend advocacy responses
Essential Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Resident in Europe (preferably with an EU working permit)
- Under 35 years of age by the end of the contract
- Alignment with YEE’s mission and core values

Contract and Remuneration
- Service contract with a gross monthly salary of €2,251.99 (25h/week)
- Candidates must be able to issue invoices according to national legislation
- Czech-based candidates may be offered a local employment contract under Czech labour law
