Head of Agent & Merchant Business (POS)
Location: Lagos
The Head of Agent & Merchant Business (POS) Neptune Microfinance Bank will lead and scale Neptune’s POS acquiring, merchant payments, and agency banking operations nationwide. This role is responsible for end-to-end strategy, deployment, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across the bank’s POS and agent ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute nationwide POS and merchant acquisition strategies targeting SMEs, retailers, fuel stations, transport hubs, and informal markets
- Develop and manage commercial models including MDR, terminal fees, settlement pricing, and agent incentives
- Own and manage the profit and loss (P&L) for the POS and agent business
- Recruit, onboard, and manage multi-tier agent networks while ensuring liquidity and float availability
- Oversee POS terminal deployment, activation, maintenance, uptime monitoring, and vendor management
- Lead merchant onboarding, training, activation, and dormancy reduction initiatives
- Manage settlements, chargebacks, disputes, and fraud prevention in line with CBN, KYC, AML, and consumer protection regulations
- Drive transaction growth across POS, transfers, cash-in/cash-out, bill payments, USSD, and QR channels
- Collaborate with technology teams on POS software upgrades, dashboards, reconciliation tools, and real-time monitoring systems
- Lead nationwide field teams with clear SOPs, performance dashboards, and operational controls

- Transaction volume and value
- Revenue per terminal and merchant
- Terminal uptime and failure rates
- Fraud and chargeback ratios
- Agent and merchant activation and retention
- Liquidity sufficiency and cost efficiency
Skills and Competencies
- Strong expertise in POS acquiring, agency banking, and merchant payment systems
- Experience working with NIBSS, PTSPs, payment gateways, and switching platforms
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage large, distributed field teams
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, KYC/AML, and financial inclusion policies
Corporate Banking Marketing Executive
Location: Lagos
The Corporate Banking Marketing Executive Neptune Microfinance Bank will drive Neptune’s business with medium to large corporates, multinationals, and institutional clients. This senior role oversees corporate lending, deposits, trade finance, treasury sales, and long-term relationship growth across key economic sectors.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the bank’s corporate banking strategy across sectors such as FMCG, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Telecoms, Construction, Energy, Logistics, Government, and Import/Export
- Design tailored value propositions, product bundles, and financial solutions for corporate clients
- Lead corporate relationship managers and sector teams, ensuring clear KPIs and high performance
- Oversee corporate account onboarding, KYC, documentation, credit structuring, and loan renewals
- Drive customer satisfaction, wallet share growth, and long-term client retention
- Manage credit risk, asset quality, NPLs, and regulatory compliance
- Grow revenue across loans, deposits, trade finance, and payments solutions
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across SME, Treasury, Digital Banking, and Payments units
- Monitor portfolio profitability, sector performance, and growth opportunities
- Train and mentor staff on credit analysis, relationship management, and compliance standards

- Deposit mobilization (CASA and term deposits)

- Revenue per corporate client

Requirements and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of corporate lending, credit structuring, trade finance, and risk management
- Deep knowledge of corporate business environments and financial markets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strong financial analysis and leadership capabilities
Head of Internal Control and Audit
Location: Lagos
Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦500,000 monthly
This role provides leadership for Neptune’s internal control and audit function, ensuring effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and protection of the bank’s assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily reviews of bank transactions and audit processes
- Perform customer verification and internal staff checks
- Investigate discrepancies, fraud risks, and cash suppression cases
- Design, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies
- Prepare audit reports and control activity summaries for management
- Supervise and mentor the internal control and audit team
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in internal control and audit, preferably within a microfinance institution
- ICAN, ACCA, or related professional certification is an added advantage
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in audit tools and Microsoft Office applications
Credit Administrative Officer
Location: Lagos
Salary: ₦300,000 – ₦400,000 monthly
The Credit Administrative Officer Neptune Microfinance Bank will support the credit control function by managing loan documentation, processing credit applications, and ensuring full compliance with lending policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process credit applications submitted by clients
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of credit documentation
- Prepare loan disbursement documentation and support approval processes
- Assist with credit risk assessment through financial data analysis
- Compile credit reports and summaries for senior management
- Maintain accurate records of credit transactions and client interactions
- Ensure proper filing and storage of credit documents in line with regulatory standards
- Prepare periodic reports on credit activities and performance
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- BSc or HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–3 years’ experience in credit administration or loan processing within financial services
- Good understanding of credit analysis and risk management
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
