Role Overview
The M & E Officer will work under the guidance of the State Project Manager and Country Technical Coordinator to support the implementation of malaria control programs. This position requires collaboration with local government authorities, community actors, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Contributions – 50%
- Develop and implement micro-plans for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities.
- Lead the implementation of the Global Fund Malaria project MEAL plan at the state level.
- Maintain project databases and ensure integration with the national DHIS2 platform.
- Ensure high-quality data is collected from health facilities at all levels for malaria case management and prevention.
- Facilitate routine data quality assessments and quarterly monitoring visits.
- Provide capacity building and technical assistance to state and local implementers.
- Participate in surveys, assessments, and evaluations, documenting outcomes for program improvement.
Program Management – 10%
- Support Ministry of Health staff in coordinating program activities at LGA and state levels.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting from health facilities.
- Follow up on action plans to address programmatic gaps.
Accountability – 10%
- Promote participatory methods in M&E systems involving key populations.
- Support development of feedback channels and ensure beneficiary feedback is documented and utilized.
Knowledge Management and Learning – 20%
- Review and adjust M&E plans based on field data.
- Conduct reflection sessions and learning-to-action events.
- Support documentation and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices.
Representation – 10%
- Represent Malaria Consortium in state-level technical meetings and events.
- Liaise with government counterparts and project stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- 3–5 years of relevant M&E experience in community-based interventions.
- Proficiency in HMIS, CLMS, database management, and statistical software (Stata, SPSS, Epi Info, DHIS).
- Experience in survey design, data collection, and report writing.
- Strong English communication skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Nigerian public health systems and Global Fund program implementation.
- Experience with donor grants such as GFATM, DFID, or USAID/PMI.
- Strong organizational, facilitation, and coordination skills.
- Skills in qualitative research and contextual knowledge of local community challenges.

Role Overview
The Safeguarding Officer will report to the Global Safeguarding Advisor and ensure the organization’s safeguarding policies protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults. - Implement and monitor safeguarding policies across Malaria Consortium programs.

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in safeguarding, PSEAH, GBV, or protection within INGOs/NGOs.
- Experience supporting senior management with technical advice.
- Proficiency in professional English and knowledge of donor safeguarding requirements.
