What NewSchools Funds

Funding & Support

Selected applicants can receive:

  • Unrestricted one-year grants ranging from $150,000 to $250,000 to advance their work.
  • Expert support including one-on-one coaching and access to national education experts.
  • Community connections with peer innovators and organizations across the U.S.

Who Should Apply

NewSchools seeks:

  • Early-stage organizations launching new ideas or ventures that address persistent challenges in K-12 public education
  • New initiatives within existing organizations (including pilot-ready projects or solutions in their first two years of implementation)
  • Visionary education entrepreneurs committed to equity and expanding opportunity for underserved students

Note: Applicants do not need to be legally incorporated to apply; NewSchools can channel grants through fiscal sponsors or directly to individuals working toward formal nonprofit or for-profit structures.
