The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is seeking a competent and people-focused Human Resource Officer to manage and strengthen its human capital operations. The role is responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives, ensuring effective workforce management, and supporting organisational performance through sound people practices aligned with BSN’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategic human resource management practices covering recruitment, deployment, training, performance management, staff motivation, retention, and separation
- Coordinate result-driven training and development programmes to enhance staff capacity and organisational effectiveness
- Support performance management processes that drive accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Administer staff welfare, motivation, and retention strategies to promote employee engagement
- Ensure effective and timely administration of organisational assets to minimise downtime and operational disruptions
- Apply organisational policies fairly, firmly, and empathetically while maintaining professionalism and compliance
- Ensure adherence to Nigerian labour and employment laws and internal HR policies
- Support management with HR insights for planning, decision-making, and organisational development
Requirements & Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or related disciplines
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Personnel Management, Industrial & Labour Relations, or related fields is an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience, with at least 3 years in a human resource management role
- Professional certification with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) or CIPD (UK)
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour and employment laws
- Proven ability to contribute to strategic planning and implementation
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
