The Boston Impact Initiative (BII) is an impact investing fund focused on economic and racial justice. BII prioritizes investments in enterprises and projects that:

• Address unmet needs or issues affecting communities of color
• Build climate resilience and clean energy solutions
• Grow worker or community power and voice, including cooperatives, worker-owned, and unionized businesses
• Support community ownership and control of land to prevent displacement through commercial and residential real estate projects eshub.org

This fund supports ventures at various stages—from Pre-Seed to Growth—based in Massachusetts and the Northeast region. eshub.org

Who Can Receive Investment

BII is looking to invest in:

• Entreprises owned by people of color (Asian, Black, Latino, Indigenous)
• Commercial and residential real estate projects with community governance or ownership
• Ventures that build financial, social, and political power for communities of color
• Businesses at Pre-Seed, Seed, Start-up, and Growth stages
• Projects located in Massachusetts and the Northeast of the USA

Types & Ranges of Capital Available

As an integrated capital fund, BII offers flexible funding to meet different financing needs:

Small Business Investments:

• Equity: $100,000 – $1,000,000
• Debt: $100,000 – $500,000

Real Estate Investments:

• Debt & Equity: $500,000 – $2,000,000 eshub.org

Funding can come in the form of term loans, lines of credit, revenue-based financing, convertible notes, and equity.
