This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working close to hardware, solving real-world power challenges, and shipping functional systems—not slide decks.
Company: Energy Hub
Location: Remote (EU-based candidates preferred)
Contract Duration: 12–16 weeks
Engagement Type: Contract
Rate: €50–€70/hour (milestone-based)
Key Responsibilities
- Modify and test portable power stations for real-world pilot deployments
- Integrate GSM/LTE modules for device tracking and remote control
- Implement safe remote shutdown, fault handling, and system telemetry
- Develop resilient firmware for power management, thermal control, and battery systems
- Prepare small pilot batches and document safety-critical system behavior
Requirements
- Strong experience with embedded systems (ESP32, STM32, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with batteries, inverters, or power electronics
- Proven GSM/LTE module integration experience
- Comfortable working with off-the-shelf hardware and early-stage prototypes
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and system robustness
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience building low-code dashboards for device monitoring and operations
Why Join Energy Hub?
- Work on real infrastructure with real users and immediate impact
- Direct collaboration with the company founder
- Clear scope, fast pilots, and minimal product bloat
