Job Description

The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for managing the full range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is well-organized, familiar with Nigerian labor laws, and committed to fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Manage the full recruitment cycle: job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and selection
• Coordinate smooth onboarding and orientation for new employees
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and talent pipelines
Employee Relations & Compliance
• Act as the first point of contact for staff inquiries, concerns, and grievances
• Communicate and enforce company policies consistently across the organization
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and statutory HR requirements
• Support disciplinary and grievance procedures where necessary
Performance & Development
• Assist in implementing performance management systems and processes
• Support staff training, development, and capacity-building initiatives
HR Administration & Records Management
• Maintain accurate employee files and update HR databases
• Track attendance, leave, and time-off requests
• Handle HR documentation, filing, correspondence, and periodic HR reports
Legal & Vendor Relations
• Manage HR-related legal documentation, permits, and renewals
• Liaise with vendors, consultants, and external service providers
• Keep proper records and logs of vendor contracts and agreements
General HR Support
• Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews, and organizational initiatives
• Provide HR reports and analytics to management as required
• Support efforts to build and sustain a positive workplace culture

Qualifications & Requirements
• B.Sc./HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant HR experience
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS tools
• Professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) are an added advantage
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
