Job Overview

The Pharmacist will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications, ensuring patient safety and optimal therapeutic outcomes within Lily Hospitals Limited. This role involves collaborating with the medical team, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and providing expert drug information.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide drug information services to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
• Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Participate in medication reconciliation processes to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and dispensing logs.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmaceutical care policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to pharmacy practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
• Current practicing license.
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical principles, drug interactions, and therapeutic uses.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
