Job Overview

The Hotel Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Bolton White Hotels & Apartments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and profitability. This role demands a proactive approach to financial management, robust analytical skills, and a deep understanding of hotel accounting principles within the Nigerian context.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for management.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Conduct internal audits and implement control measures to prevent fraud and errors.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and legal requirements in Nigeria.
• Manage inventory and cost control measures for food, beverage, and other operational supplies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
