Job Overview
The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and ongoing technical support of Surgi-X Health Solutions’ advanced surgical equipment at client hospital sites across Nigeria. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong understanding of medical device technology, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and calibrate new medical equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company protocols.
- Provide comprehensive technical training to hospital staff on the operation and maintenance of surgical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues through effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance and service checks to ensure equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with sales and clinical teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project implementation.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in surgical technology and biomedical engineering principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment, preferably in surgical specialties.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electromechanical and software systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to travel extensively across Nigeria.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
