Job Overview

The Patient Service Officer will be the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their journey at LECC. This role is crucial in facilitating patient flow, coordinating appointments, and providing essential support to both patients and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Managing patient appointments, scheduling, and rescheduling as needed.
  • Registering new patients and updating existing patient information in the hospital’s system.
  • Answering patient inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing accurate information about services.
  • Assisting patients with administrative tasks, including form completion and insurance verification.
  • Coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth patient transitions and efficient care delivery.
  • Handling patient feedback and addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized reception area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in using office software and electronic health record systems.
