Job Overview

The Legal Officer will be instrumental in providing comprehensive legal support to Planet Bottling Company, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations across our diverse operations in Nigeria. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can navigate complex legal landscapes and contribute to the company’s sustained growth and ethical practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise management on legal matters and potential risks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian corporate, commercial, and industry-specific laws.
• Manage legal documentation and maintain organized records.
• Assist in litigation and dispute resolution processes when required.
• Conduct legal research and prepare reports on relevant legislation.
• Support the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a reputable institution.
• Called to the Nigerian Bar (BL).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of post-call experience in corporate or commercial law.
• Proven experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian legal frameworks and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
