Job Overview
The Head, Regulatory and Corporate Governance will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Ikeja Electric’s regulatory compliance and corporate governance frameworks. This pivotal role ensures adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, safeguarding the company’s reputation and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust corporate governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements from NERC and other relevant bodies.
- Advise the Board of Directors and Senior Management on governance matters.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Oversee the company’s risk management framework and internal controls.
- Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory filings.
- Monitor changes in the regulatory landscape and advise on their impact.
- Foster a culture of ethical conduct and transparency throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Proven experience in corporate governance and regulatory affairs, preferably within the energy sector in Nigeria.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian electricity sector regulations and NERC guidelines.
- Strong understanding of corporate law and best governance practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
- Professional certification in governance or compliance is a plus.
