Job Overview
The Optometrist will be responsible for providing a full spectrum of optometric services, from routine eye examinations to the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases. This role requires a compassionate and detail-oriented professional dedicated to patient well-being and delivering high-quality care in line with Soteria Eye Clinic’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions and diseases.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and other visual aids.
- Educate patients on eye health and preventative care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient referrals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Optometry (BOptom) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and license with the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board of Nigeria (ODPBN).
- Proven clinical experience in optometry.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant optometric software.
