Five Teams Empowerment Initiative (5TEi) is a frontline National Non-Governmental Organization committed to humanitarian and development work across Nigeria, with significant operations in the Northeastern region. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communication and Media Intern to join our growing team and help amplify our impact across five key sectors: Healthcare and Health Systems, Nutrition and Livelihood, Education and Behavioral Change, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, and Community Resilience.
Job Overview
The Communication and Media Intern will support 5TEi’s communications strategy by creating compelling content, managing media materials, and enhancing our organizational visibility. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in nonprofit communications while contributing to meaningful humanitarian and development initiatives in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms and organizational publications
- Assist in documenting program activities through photography and videography
- Support media outreach and press release distribution
- Conduct research on communication trends and best practices
- Help maintain and update the organization’s website and digital platforms
- Assist in organizing communication events and media engagements
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with social media platforms and basic design tools
- Familiarity with nonprofit or development sector work is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
