Job Overview

The Specialist, Rewards & Administration will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Nile University’s staff rewards and benefits programs. This position requires a thorough understanding of compensation structures, benefits administration, and HR policies, ensuring compliance and operational excellence within the university.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all staff.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other statutory benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to compensation and benefits.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of compensation and reward strategies.
  • Prepare reports and analyses on compensation, benefits, and HR administrative data.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and university policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR administrative matters.
  • Support the HR department in various administrative tasks and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR administration, with a focus on rewards and payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
