Job Overview

The Training, Extension and Learning Officer will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and evaluating our comprehensive agricultural training and capacity-building initiatives. This position requires a blend of pedagogical understanding, agricultural expertise, and strong organizational abilities to ensure the effective dissemination of knowledge and best practices to farmers and community members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging training modules on various agricultural topics, including climate-smart agriculture, sustainable farming techniques, and enterprise development.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and tailor extension services accordingly.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, field days, and other outreach activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, agricultural cooperatives, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering agricultural training or extension programs.
  • Strong understanding of Peruvian agricultural context and climate-smart practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is essential; English proficiency is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
