Elela-Care Humanitarian and Development Organization (ECM) is seeking a dedicated Office Support (Watchman) to join our team in Nigeria. Established in November 2018 and officially registered in 2022, ECM is committed to enhancing the lives of vulnerable populations in Northeast Nigeria, with a specific focus on youth human capital development and ensuring safe learning environments for children and students. This role is crucial for maintaining the security and operational integrity of our office premises.

Job Overview

The Office Support (Watchman) will be responsible for the security and upkeep of ECM’s office facilities, ensuring a safe and orderly environment for staff, visitors, and organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol office premises to prevent unauthorized access and ensure security.
  • Maintain a log of visitors and activities.
  • Report any security breaches or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Assist with basic office upkeep and cleanliness as needed.
  • Be present and vigilant during designated working hours and potentially outside of them if required for security.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience in a security or watchman role.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliability and a sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or local dialects.
  • Physical fitness sufficient to perform patrol duties.
