Job Overview

The Result Desk Officer will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing, management, and dissemination of patient test results. This position acts as a vital link between the diagnostic departments and our patients, ensuring timely and professional communication of critical health information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and accurately record patient diagnostic results from various departments.
  • Prepare and package results for release to patients and referring physicians.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all patient data in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Address patient inquiries regarding their results in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic records.
  • Liaise with laboratory and radiology staff to resolve any discrepancies or queries.
  • Monitor the turnaround time for results and escalate any delays.
  • Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification; a certificate in a relevant administrative or healthcare field is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or customer-facing role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including word processing and data entry.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
