Job Overview

The Project Architect (Consultant) will be instrumental in designing, developing, and overseeing the technical implementation of our eHealth and mHealth solutions. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of software architecture, system integration, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the African healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural design and technical roadmap for eHealth and mHealth projects.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and robust technical solutions.
  • Ensure the integration of our systems with existing health information platforms.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the deployment and ongoing maintenance of implemented solutions.
  • Champion best practices in software development, security, and data integrity.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Architect or similar senior technical leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare information systems (e.g., DHIS2, EMRs).
  • Expertise in cloud-based architectures and microservices.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and database technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in low-resource or developing country contexts is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
