Job Overview for the Store Manager Receiving Job in Gboko The role involves managing the end to end receipt, inspection, and recording of materials, spare parts, and consumables. The successful candidate will ensure deliveries match purchase orders, discrepancies are resolved quickly, and inventory records are accurate.

Key Responsibilities Supervise daily receiving operations including offloading, checking, inspection, and acceptance of items

Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists, and waybills

Report shortages, damages, and non conformances and work with procurement and logistics teams for resolution

Record receipts into ERP or warehouse systems and prepare Goods Received Notes

Control quarantine processes for damaged or suspect materials

Lead, train, and manage receiving staff

Ensure safe operation of forklifts, cranes, and handling equipment

Coordinate inbound scheduling to reduce congestion and delays

Maintain an organized receiving bay and proper documentation system

Support inventory counts and audits

Track supplier delivery performance and provide feedback to procurement

Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Engineering, or related discipline

Minimum of ten years experience in warehouse or stores receiving within manufacturing, heavy industry, or cement operations

Supervisory experience is strongly preferred

Knowledge of ERP or WMS platforms. SAP or Oracle is an advantage

Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail

Good understanding of health and safety practices

Basic technical knowledge of material specifications and handling

Leadership and people management ability

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage pressure and multiple deliveries
