PITAM WATER NG is seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer – Water, Beverage & Bottling Production Job in Delta State to join its operations team. This full time onsite role offers the opportunity to work with advanced water treatment and bottling systems while ensuring production efficiency, equipment reliability, and product quality.

As a Technical Engineer, you will be integral to maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial processes, contributing directly to operational excellence and the delivery of safe drinking water.

About the Technical Engineer Role

The Technical Engineer will oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of water treatment and bottling equipment. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, implementing preventive maintenance, and leading initiatives to improve production performance. This position requires a detail oriented engineer with strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation and Maintenance

• Install, commission, and optimize water treatment and bottling machinery
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process related issues efficiently
• Monitor equipment performance, production metrics, and water quality parameters

Technical Project Management

• Lead projects for system upgrades and technical improvements
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement process optimizations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory

Team Training and Support

• Mentor and train junior technical staff on operational procedures
• Promote adherence to safety regulations and quality standards (ISO, HACCP, or similar)
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency

Qualifications and Requirements

• OND, HND, or B.Sc in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in water treatment, beverage production, bottling operations, or industrial manufacturing
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain industrial production equipment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment documentation
• Proficiency with maintenance management software and computer systems
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel within Delta State as required
• Knowledge of safety protocols and quality management systems is an advantage
