Job Summary

The Private Household Driver will be responsible for transporting elderly residents to medical appointments, social activities, and personal engagements while also supporting household operations through assigned errands. The role includes assisting elderly passengers with mobility, responding to emergency transportation needs, and ensuring the household vehicle remains clean and in excellent working condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Services

• Safely transport elderly parents to appointments, errands, and social visits
• Drive to hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities as required
• Provide emergency transportation when urgent medical needs arise
• Transport domestic staff for household related errands when assigned

Assistance and Care Support

• Assist elderly parents when entering and exiting the vehicle
• Ensure comfort, safety, and stability throughout all journeys
• Remain patient, respectful, and attentive to elderly passengers at all times

Vehicle Maintenance

• Ensure the household vehicle is always in proper working condition
• Monitor fuel levels, engine oil, tires, and vehicle fluids
• Report mechanical faults promptly and coordinate servicing when necessary

Vehicle Cleaning and Upkeep

• Keep the vehicle clean, sanitized, and presentable inside and outside
• Ensure the vehicle is ready for scheduled trips and emergencies

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a personal or household driver
• Strong knowledge of local roads, hospitals, and medical facilities
• Physically capable of assisting elderly individuals with mobility
• Trustworthy, punctual, discreet, and professional in conduct
• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification

Schedule and Compensation

• Work Schedule: 12 hour shifts with day and overnight options
• On call availability for emergencies is required
• Monthly Salary: ₦100,000 to ₦210,000 based on experience and suitability
• Additional Benefit: Yearly bonus
