Key Responsibilities

Meal Preparation and Cooking

• Prepare daily meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Cook fresh, balanced, and age appropriate meals
• Adjust meals based on dietary needs and food preferences

Meal Service

• Serve meals respectfully and on time
• Ensure meals are neatly presented and served at proper temperatures

Menu Planning

• Plan daily menus based on preferences of the elderly parents
• Ensure variety, nutrition, and enjoyment in meals
• Communicate with family members on menu plans and feedback

Grocery Shopping

• Purchase groceries and food items as required
• Select fresh and high quality ingredients
• Manage food inventory and proper storage

Kitchen and Service Area Maintenance

• Prepare the dining area before meals
• Clean cooking utensils and serving items after meals
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a home cook, private cook, or similar role is preferred
• Basic knowledge of nutrition for elderly individuals
• Knowledge of traditional Urhobo and Ukwane dishes is an advantage
• Ability to plan meals and handle grocery shopping independently
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and organization
