Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the NHEF Scholars Program 2026, applicants must:

• Be penultimate year students at an NHEF partner university:
  • Ahmadu Bello University
  • Bayero University
  • University of Ibadan
  • University of Lagos
  • University of Nigeria
  • University of Port Harcourt
• Demonstrate strong academic performance
• Show excellence in extracurricular and professional activities
• Display commitment to community service and positive social impact

• Application Opens: 2nd February 2026
• Application Deadline: 13th March 2026 (11:59 pm WAT)

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through the official NHEF application portal.

Application Steps

2. Visit the NHEF application portal and create an account using your name, email address, phone number, and password
3. Verify your email address through the confirmation link sent to your inbox
4. Log in and click the Apply tab on your dashboard
5. Complete your personal details and answer all essay questions
6. Upload the following documents in PDF format:
   • One page CV
   • One page cover letter
   • Most recent statement of result
7. Review your entries and submit your application
