Applications are now open for the 2027/2028 Rotary Peace Fellowship Program, an opportunity for professionals committed to peace, development, and community service. The fellowship is designed for leaders with relevant work experience who aspire to become effective catalysts for positive change at local, national, and international levels.
Each year, the Rotary Foundation awards up to 50 fellowships for master’s degree programs and up to 120 fellowships for professional development certificate studies at premier universities around the world.
About the Rotary Peace Fellowship
The Rotary Peace Fellowship equips participants with advanced knowledge, practical experience, and global networks to address peace and development challenges. Fellows receive full funding covering tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and expenses for internships and field studies.
Fellowship Programs
Master’s Degree Programs
- Duration: 15 to 24 months
- Study peace and development issues through research-informed teaching with a diverse cohort of students
- Includes a two- to three-month field study, designed and implemented by the fellow
- Provides comprehensive academic training to prepare future leaders in peacebuilding and development
Professional Development Certificate Program
- Duration: 12 months, blended learning format
- Designed for experienced peace and development professionals
- Offers practical skills to promote peace within communities and regions
- Includes a field study and a social change initiative
- Allows working professionals to advance their knowledge while maintaining professional responsibilities
Eligibility Criteria
- Demonstrated commitment to peace and development work
- Relevant professional experience in leadership, conflict resolution, or related fields
- Strong dedication to community and international service
