EARTH University, in partnership with The Mastercard Foundation, is offering the prestigious Mastercard EARTH University Scholarship to talented young leaders from disadvantaged communities across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. This fully funded undergraduate scholarship is designed to support students who are passionate about agriculture, leadership, and driving sustainable economic development in their home countries.

Through this collaboration under The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, up to 120 students will be supported to study at EARTH University and develop the skills needed to become transformational leaders. About one-third of the selected scholars will come from Sub-Saharan Africa, while the remaining scholars will be from Latin America and the Caribbean.

This program gives selected students the opportunity to study in EARTH University’s unique hands-on learning environment, focused on agricultural innovation, entrepreneurship, and social impact.

About the EARTH University Mastercard Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the 2026 EARTH University Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must demonstrate significant financial need, typically corresponding to the lowest two income quintiles in their country
  • Applicants must have strong academic performance within their school system

  • Applicants must be graduating from a recognized secondary school or have completed the required academic qualifications
