Role Overview:
The Cash Officer will support the team lead in cash management operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of ATM-fit cash to branches, collection of excess cash, and deposits at the CBN. The officer acts as a backup to the team lead when necessary, focusing on risk mitigation, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities For Cash Officer:
- Ensure timely supply of quality cash to branches and ATMs
- Mop up excess cash from branches and deposit at CBN
- Maintain compliance and improve turnaround times (TAT) for cash delivery and reporting
- Provide accurate data on daily cash shortages and related activities
- Reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Identify and assess risks in existing processes and recommend improvements
- Liaise with branches to minimize shortages from daily evacuations
- Stand in as backup for team lead when required
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BSc in Social Science or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in banking operations
- Knowledge of banking transaction processes and products
- Experience in maintaining customer and branch relationships
